Editor-in-Chief
Every spring, “The Bengal” accepts applications for all positions for the upcoming academic year.
To the right of this article, you can see the advertisement detailing the application process, so I’ll spare you from reading that information here.
Instead, I’ll spend my time telling you that whether your interests are in writing, photography, design, editing, marketing and advertising, web design or if you’re looking to help with distribution, you should seriously consider applying for a position with us.
Not only are positions at “The Bengal” great résumé builders but they are also fun, flexible and paid!
Through working at “The Bengal,” I’ve had countless opportunities and adventures that I would have never experienced otherwise.
Being involved at “The Bengal” has made me a better-informed and more well-rounded college student. The career experience I have gained from working in a real media environment is irreplaceable. The experiences I’ve had here are ones that cannot be duplicated or taught in a classroom environment and they will aid me in my future career, whether I continue to pursue journalism or go another route.
I’ve worked with a number of incredibly talented individuals, made some great friends and done a lot of useful networking during my time here. I’m looking forward to continuing to do so over the next year as I continue as Editor-in-Chief.
I intend to see “The Bengal” remain an integral part of the ISU community and would love to see it continue to grow in terms of quality, content and readership during my time here.
I will do my absolute best to help make “The Bengal” every bit as successful as it has been. I’m excited to build a new team that is just as passionate as I am.
I hope you’ll join me.
Email your resume and two to three work samples to me at ude.usinull@feihcgb no later than Wednesday, April 16 at 8 p.m.
