Six Bengals Earn All-Conference Honors

The Idaho State football team had six players earn all-conference honors as announced by the Big Sky Conference on Nov. 26 and voted on by the coaches.

Adkin Aguirre earned second-team all-conference while Dallen Collins, Luke Holloway and Kody Graves earned third-team all-conference. Mitch Gueller and Tanner Conner earned honorable mention all-conference.

Aguirre started all 12 games at safety and was second on the team in tackles with 87. He had 2.5 tackles for loss, one interception and one forced fumble. For his career, he finished with 264 tackles, 23 pass deflections and eight interceptions. Aguirre had double-digit tackles in three games, including 16 at BYU, 11 vs. Eastern Washington and 10 at SUU. His interception came against North Dakota. In 2018, he earned honorable mention all-conference.

Collins is a four-year starter at center. His only game missed during his four-year career was during the 2017 season. In 2016 he was named to the Hero Sports Freshman All-American Team.

Graves started all 12 games at linebacker and had a team-best 99 tackles. He had two interceptions and 7.5 tackles for loss. For his career he had 253 tackles, four interceptions and 18 tackles for loss. Graves had four games in double-digit tackles with a season-high 14 at SUU. He had 13 at Utah, 10 vs. Portland State and 11 vs. Northern Colorado. His interceptions came against SUU and BYU. This is the second-straight year Graves has earned third-team all-conference.

Holloway finished his senior season starting all 12 games at linebacker. He had 69 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. Holloway had 10 tackles, three tackles for loss and two sacks at SUU. He added nine tackles in the win over Portland State.

Gueller caught 44 passes for 610 yards and four touchdowns. He finished his career as Idaho State’s most prolific receiver in Idaho State history. He caught 178 passes for 3,249 yards and 24 touchdowns. Gueller had 166 yards receiving and a career-best 11 receptions at Idaho. He also had 115 yards receiving vs. North Dakota. Gueller earned first-team all-conference in 2017 and 2018.

Conner had a breakout season, catching 47 passes for 792 yards and eight touchdowns. Conner had four games with over 100 yards receiving. He had a career-best of 173 in the season-opener vs. Western Colorado. In the win over Portland State he caught three touchdowns passes along with four receptions for 117 yards. He had 130 yards receiving vs. Eastern Washington and 122 vs. North Dakota.
