Crazy Craigslist Thief

My roommate was moving out for the summer, so she found a girl on Craigslist to take her room. She seemed nice enough at first, but when another roommate hosted a small birthday party, she invited the entire football and basketball teams, so forty huge dudes shoved themselves into our tiny house until the landlords came and kicked them out.

She didn’t pay rent and told us that it was because her mom was in the hospital with breast cancer (she wasn’t). My other roommate realized that hundreds of dollars had been stolen from her room.

We set up a camera for evidence and when we confronted her, she admitted to it on tape. We never saw her again, but we reported her to the police. When we went in her room to clean it, she had left shards of broken glass, bags of rotting trash, and bloody tampons all around the room.

It was horrifying! Last I heard she got arrested, so karma, I guess.

Unwelcome Guest

I had a roommate my second semester of freshman year that was the worst. We lived in Turner, so not a whole lot of personal space. She was constantly staying up until the early hours of the morning with her TV up to full volume and lights on. Then, she would sleep through her alarm that would go off every morning at 5:30 a.m. for her 8 a.m. class.

I think the worst part about living with her though was that she would constantly be FaceTiming this guy, at all hours.

Once, this guy came to visit. He was going to stay for the weekend, but ended up sleeping on the floor of our Turner bedroom for almost two weeks.

Granny Panties

Personally, I’ve had good luck with roommates but my grandma lived with another girl who was too lazy to do her own laundry, so she stole my grandma’s underwear.

The FWB Stealer

I had this roommate from Georgia who came  from a wealthy family, had a maid, and was super spoiled. She would openly say racist things and admit her family was racist. This left all of us in shock.

She was always on our butts to clean, and when she thought no one was home I heard her telling her parents how messy our apartment was.

I confronted her about it with my roommates and she denied it, but later texted me saying sorry.

We picked up everything in the living room and it was all hers..

We had a roommate meeting and everything was better since then. We actually were even getting along.

But then she decides to tell me after an already crap day that she matched with this boy who I really, really liked and have been FWB with for about six months on Tinder.

She said she wouldn’t do anything and was just curious, then I found out she messaged him and didn’t want to tell me until I asked her about it. Needless to say, I lost my mind. She knew I liked him and how long we’d been talking and didn’t care.

When I confronted her about it, she admitted that she knew I liked him and that if I didn’t ask her about it she wouldn’t have told me she messaged him.

She said she unmatched him, but I doubt it. Needless to say, I hate her.

Fake Break-In

I had this great roommate who was super sweet and clean until she started dating this new guy. Things came to a head when she did drugs and hallucinated that six men broke into our house.

She called the cops and four or five cop cars sped down to our house. She told them she had chased them out with a bread knife. When they didn’t believe her, she got really mad and would tell everyone how corrupt the local police department is. She moved out a few months later, and I can’t say I miss her much.
