Robert Marley, Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at Missouri University of Science and Technology is no longer being considered for the president position.
He follows Ricardo Azziz, State University of New York (SUNY) System Administration’s chief officer of academic health and hospital affairs, who withdrew his application to become ISU’s president on March 5, leaving only three finalists.
The search for ISU’s next president will proceed with the three remaining candidates: Kevin Satterlee, Chief Operating Officer, Vice President, and Special Counsel at Boise State University; Laura Woodworth-Ney, Executive Vice President and Provost at Idaho State University; and Charles Wight, President of Weber State University.
Although it is uncertain when the new president will be named, the State Board of Education is scheduled to conduct final interviews April 2. The new president will begin after current President Arthur Vailas retires in June.
