May 30, 2017. I came to New York just after my final exam was over. I was too curious to be here not because I had no fun there, but New York City has always been my dream place although I had already been there. And I considered it again with the same intention.
There is no doubt I am enjoying the city far more than the Pocatello. However, there are several things which I have been always missed about Pocatello.
Idaho State University’s events were the most important part of the university. I remember I enjoyed a lot for every event I attended the college. Most of the events inside ISU run with active participation of students which is so amazing. Here in New York, I just have a memory left to remember those heart-breaking moments.
One of the worst thing that I realized again when I came to New York is the city has no more silence unless you go to the park or live in the apartments. I have enjoyable experience being slept at the college quad during the weekends in summer. Places are so quiet in Pocatello. These things were not so important to me when I was there, but ultimately, I saw people here in New York City are lacking those benefits. And Yes, I was lucky.
On Campus Opportunities like raffles, game, club events were also memorable events for students. Besides college degree, ISU provides information’s about ongoing events in the noticeboard of different departments which I realized I was habitual to look over every week.
I expect to get back in Pocatello as soon as possible.
I would love to feel those moments and activities again. I would go to the top of the Red Hill and take a picture, I would post in the social media saying I AM BACK in POKY…They would feel how important is Pocatello for me.
