Looking for something to watch this week?

Here are The Bengal’s “Flix Pix” of the week on Hulu, Netflix and Amazon Prime.

AMAZON PRIME: – “The Kings of Summer

A dramedy adventure film about a boy tired of being under the thumb of his father, he decides to express his independence. He does this by running off to build a house in the woods where he believes he and his friends can happily live off the land.

This film stars Nick Robinson (Jurassic World), Moises Arias (The Middle), Gabriel Basso (The Big C), Erin Moriarty (Captain Fantastic) and Nick Offerman, who has been entertaining fans with his proven dry comedic style for over twenty years.

HULU: – “Dark Summer

In this horror-thriller film, you are not really certain who the good guy is.

With the tagline “Some crushes last forever,” you may find yourself jumping out of your seat a time or two while watching this creepy film. Keir Gilchrist (Atypical, United States of Tara) plays Daniel, a cyber-stalker with a serious crush who finds out how much he has to pay for his actions. While on house arrest, he has a rude awakening as he learns his frightening lesson. Also starring Stella Maeve (Magicians, Chicago PD), Maestro Harnell and Gracie Gillam.

NETFLIX: –  Staten Island Summer

A crude coming of age comedy that is surprisingly entertaining. The film is centered around Danny, played by Graham Phillips (The Good Wife), and Frank, played by Zack Pearlman (Shameless). As they discuss plans for life outside of high school, they also are brewing up plans to throw the most kick-ass party of the summer. Hang on to your inner tube for a wild and wet summer flick ride with a cast of characters that includes Ashley Greene, Will Forte, Jim Gaffigan and Method Man, just to name a few.

Happy viewing!
