Are you looking for something to watch this week?

Here are your “Flix Pix”of the week on Hulu, Netflix and Amazon Prime.

This week’s pix coincide with this Friday being on the 13th.

HULU: – “Friday the 13th”

For one of the most iconic, classic slasher flicks of all time, we are flashing back to the year 1980.  The original “Friday the 13th” delivers the expected cheesy acting and special effects you would come to expect from the 1980s. Yes, there is plenty of blood, bad decisions, screaming and a handful of well-meaning, half-naked, young 18-plus camp counselors. The entire lot of them runs around getting their lives drained by a psycho killer.

Be advised, this is a film from another era, so no cell phones and there is a different dynamic between the sexes which is not as politically correct as modern-day films. If you can see past these things, this classic charmer is perfect for this time of year.

AMAZON PRIME: – “Thirteen”

This five-episode dramatic miniseries is a very interesting slow burner. It has several twists and turns to keep you guessing as it builds up the intensity. The premise centers around a 26-year old British girl who escapes after being held captive for thirteen years. Binge worthy.

NETFLIX: – “13 Reasons Why”

An intense, gripping, fictional drama series with a solid message, depicting how several young adults are dealing with a traumatic event. The series explores, with some depth, how the individual characters involved react and endure their own personal experiences with this same traumatic event. The story unfolds as each character’s role in the traumatic event unravels while exposing details. It eventually intertwines all together. This is also binge worthy.

Be ready for an emotional topic and possible triggers.
