Authorities said the wrecks were caused by snowy weather that came on Friday. The first dozen wrecks occurred around 1 p.m. Friday, while the second slew of crashes happened around 4 p.m.

State police said there were no fatalities, but several of the wreck victims were transported via ambulances to Portneuf Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.

This comes after the president cut aid to the countries in the “Northern Triangle,” which consists of Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador. Experts say the move will increase the influx of refugees coming to the Southern Border.

The majority of the migrants are coming from these countries as asylum seekers, which is legal under U.S. and international law.

International: 4 Palestinians were killed along the Gaza border in “Great March of Return” protest

The Israeli army said it was responding to protesters hurling stones and grenades at the border fence. Military officials were worried about wide-scale escalation, so the demonstrations were considered calmer than what they expected.
