James “Jim” Koetter, a legendary figure in Pocatello sports, passed away at 87 on February 18th. His 40-year coaching career included significant roles at Highland High and Idaho State, where he influenced countless athletes. Koetter instilled values of success and mentorship, leaving a lasting legacy beyond just athletic victories.
