The Bengal was first published under the name of the Idaho State Record in 1910, and has been the independent voice of the ISU community ever since. The Bengal strives to provide readers with the most accurate, interesting and relevant news while at the same time providing a designated place for the students of Idaho State University to share ideas and opinions.
The Bengal Newspaper aims to capture and share the life of ISU students and how university, local, state, national and international circumstances shape our experiences. It strives to provide a vital public forum — a place where our readers can exchange ideas and opinions, share and react to information about events, and digest the news of general interest about the campus, region, country and world.
