Police and university officials responded to an injury accident on the corner of 8th Avenue and Lovejoy on the Idaho State University campus at around 12:15 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16 when a passenger pick-up truck struck the Physical Science Building.
The driver of the pick-up was injured and transported to the hospital.
Corporal Colter Cannon was one of the officers on the scene.
“According to witnesses, [the driver] was stopped at the intersection then just kept on going [right] into the building,” said Cannon.
Cannon was unable to release a name but said the driver was associated with the university. He also said no one else was in the vehicle except a family dog.
According to Cannon, the accident may have been caused by a medical issue.
