Moratzka Named Defensive Player of the Week

Idaho State volleyball outside hitter Duquesne Moratzka was named Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week for her performance in last week’s matches.

The sophomore stood out defensively for Idaho State in its 1-1 split weekend with a 3-0 sweep over Montana and a 3-1 loss to Montana State.

In the match against Montana, Moratzka recorded eight digs and two blocks.

In the match against Montana State, Mortazka tallied 13 digs and six blocks.

Overall, the sophomore produced 21 digs and eight blocks.

The Bengals are back in action on Thursday, Oct. 24, vs. Eastern Washington at 7 p.m. (MST) in Reed Gym.
