International Night was held on Saturday, Nov. 12, in the Pond Student Union Building Ballroom by the ISU International Student Association. The theme this year was “Bengal Paws Around the World” and was MC’d by Imane L’hadi, Seyedeh Mozneb and Saleh Alhizan.
After an eclectic international dinner and flags-of-the-world show, the guests were entertained with dance presentations from Morocco (ISA members), India (ISU Indian Club) and Mexico (H.A.L.O. Club). After the Indian Dance, a quartet from the ISU Nepalese Student Association sang and played a song on guitars and traditional flute. A classical contemporary dance was performed by members of the International Program Office and a chinese song was sung by a member of the ISU Chinese Student Association.
Later, dances were performed representing Saudi Arabia (Saudi Arabian Student Association), Nepal (ISU Nepalese Student Association) and a Peruvian dance was presented by ISA members. The night was capped with a dance by the ISU African Club, a popular group for all that attended.
After the guests left, most of the performers danced on stage to a variety of music and posed for group pictures, some of which are included in the gallery below.
