Chelsea Blair lived a short but amazing life! It was cut short by a fatal car crash two years ago.
Blair grew up here in Pocatello, Idaho and many knew her at Pocatello High School where she attended. She was also known at Idaho State by many of the students and worked at Texas Roadhouse as one of their very favorite employees.
Blair was a very creative and loving soul, always looking out for the “strays” whether it be animals or people. She had such a caring heart and wanted to make this world a better place by the things that she did.
A huge goal she had set was to be able to see all of the continents.
To do her part to make this world a better place, Blair felt the need to experience and understand the cultures of the world around her. This began her passion for travel.
Blair traveled all over the U.S. seeing the different cultures found here in America.
Canada and Mexico were the first countries she went to outside of the U.S.
She decided to really become involved with connecting with others when she went to Ecuador to live for three months. She learned so much about the people and the language there as she worked in an orphanage. She loved it!
When she got home she quickly decided to join our group.
Blair was a part of the ISU International Studies and Travel Association in which she was able to go on an amazing cultural experience to Italy and Greece a few months before her life was cut short. That trip also changed her life!
At this time there is no doubt that Blair would love nothing more than to help others have this same opportunity of travel to learn about other cultures of the world!
We would love to have your support by helping other ISU students experience study/travel abroad by joining us for a celebration of Blair’s life at Texas Roadhouse for The Chelsea Blair Memorial Scholarship Luncheon!
The luncheon will be held Tuesday, Nov. 18 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Texas Roadhouse in Pocatello, Idaho.
The menu will include a delicious BBQ pulled pork sandwich or BBQ chicken sandwich, fresh house salad with made-from-scratch dressings or piping-hot steak fries, soft drink & fresh baked bread.
Tickets are $10.
