Men’s Tennis:

Montana 7, ISU 0

The men’s tennis team fell to visiting Montana 7-0 Sunday morning at the Reed Gym Tennis Courts.

Sacramento State 5, ISU 2

The men’s tennis team fell to Sacramento State 5-2 Friday afternoon at the Reed Gym Tennis Courts. The match marked ISU’s final home match, and the Bengals honored seniors William Edin, Keegan Sullivan and Adam Hornby prior to the start of the match.

Women’s Tennis:

Northern Arizona University

The women’s tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to visiting Northern Arizona Saturday afternoon at the Reed Gym Tennis Courts.

Softball:

Boise State 6, ISU 3

Boise State 16, ISU 0

Mariah Mulcahy took the loss in both games, pitching three innings allowing five hits, four runs two walks and three strikeouts in the first game with two innings pitched allowing five hits, three runs one walk and one strikeout in the second game.

In the first game, Boise State (25-11) jumped out to a 2-0 lead after earning runs in the top of the first and top of the second. Idaho State (5-25) responded in the bottom of the second as Emma Bordenkecher led with a double to left center. Cassidy FitzGerald earned the RBI with the sacrifice fly, sending Bordenkecher home, bringing the Bengals within one, 2-1.

Makenzie VanSickle connected for her first career home run for two RBIs.

The Broncos would add four runs in the top of the sixth and hold the Bengals scoreless in the bottom of the sixth and seventh to earn the 6-3 victory.

In the second game, the Bengals struggled, finishing with three hits and no runs while giving up 14 hits and 16 runs to the Broncos.

Breer, Frankie Tago and Aubrey Creekmore each recorded hits on the day, all singles.

Northern Colorado 13, ISU 8

ISU 9 Northern Colorado 4

Ashlyn Ames took the loss in the first game. She allowed 15 hits, seven walks and five strikeouts.

Mariah Mulcahy earned the game two win by tossing the complete game, scattering six hits, four runs, five walks and five strikeouts.

Five ISU players had three hits on the day. Tago had three hits, four RBIs and scored two runs while Breer had three hits, four RBIs, one homer and one double. Bordenkecher had three hits and three RBIs. While Zamora and Shayna Dahlen had three hits.

ISU 1, Northern Colorado 0

With the score tied at 0 through 6 ½ innings, Genesis Zamora hit a one-out walk off single to lift ISU to the victory.

Ames earned the win as she allowed only five hits while striking out six and walking three.
